Justin Lauppe Obituary

JUSTIN LEE LAUPPE It is with profound sadness and immense respect that we announce the passing of Justin Lee Lauppe, a devoted husband, father, and public servant, who died in the line of duty on May 16, 2025, while serving as a paramedic and first responder with Butler County EMS. Born on October 29, 1987, Justin dedicated his life to serving others. His bravery, compassion, and unwavering commitment to his community defined his career. In addition to his work as a paramedic, he was a proud member of the Butler County Rescue, and a member of the Dive Team, a certified law enforcement officer, and a tireless advocate for public safety. Justin had a deep love for the outdoors and an unmatched passion for helping others. Whether he was building something with his beloved Milwaukee tools, mentoring others, or simply lending a hand, Justin's skills and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His dedication to excellence began early in life, as an active member of the FFA, where he proudly represented his community at the National Finals for Livestock and Poultry Judging. Justin married the love of his life, Heidi (Pflug) Lauppe, on September 19, 2015, in Toronto, Kansas. Justin's legacy is one of courage, service, and love. He touched countless lives through his work and his unwavering kindness. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, colleagues, and the entire Butler County community. Justin is survived by his loving wife, Heidi Lauppe, and their cherished eight-year-old daughter, Emery May Lauppe. He was a devoted family man whose greatest joy was spending time with his girls. He is also survived by his parents, Reta and Terry Kill, of Grenola, Kansas; his aunt, Angela (Troy) Hurt, of Howard, Kansas; his cousins, Andrew and Ale Hurt; Aaron, Kylie, and Hannah Groom, of Leon, Kansas; his Aunt Carolyn Schuler, of Wichita, Kansas; and his work family at Butler County EMS and Rescue. Justin was preceded in passing by his grandparents, and father figure, Tom Nigh. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 22nd, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Hartman Arena, in Park City, Kansas. Justin will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Sunset Lawns Cemetery in El Dorado. Memorial contributions in his name may be directed towards Butler County EMS and Butler County Heavy Rescue. Please sign his online guest book and leave a memory at www.carlsonkirbymorris.com
