Justin Allen Mitchell,42 born and raised in Brainerd Mn passed away on November14th 2025 in the comfort of his home surrounded by loved ones, after a long and courageous battle with Myotonic Dystrophy.

Justin faced more medical challenges in his life then most ever will. At just the young age of 25 Justin underwent a heart transplant, an experience that both tested and defined his bravery. Despite these hardships he remained steadfast. Selflessly meeting each day with courage, generosity and a love that touched everyone around him.

Justin had a love for agates and anything nature, fishing with his family and buddies whether it be in a boat or on the ice, quiet car rides to look for deer, poker nights and playing pool with his friends & camping trips with family and friends, playing bubble witch, adult cartoon shows and anything about history and aliens. He had an obsession for seasonal Reese's peanut buttercups (they had more peanut butter) and oatmeal square bars. Justin also had an undying love for his fur babies Harley and Kilo who loved to sleep at his feet.

Justin had a love for many things, but most importantly he had a love for life with family and friends. Justin was a devoted loving husband to his wife Amber who was the love of his life who's love and dedication was endless.

Justin is survived by his wife Amber of 18 years together. Daughters Alexis Weston and Stevie Schnichels, bonus daughter Brittani Weston which were his greatest joys. Sister Michaela Hart (Pat Shaw), Aunts Sheila (Gene) Haverkamp, Angie (Bruce) Kruchten, Father Rick (Julie) Hart, Grandmother Carol Mitchell, Aunts Crystal (Keith) Olson, Kari (Dan) Davis, Uncle Eric (Shelly) Mitchell, Father and Mother-in-law Brad and Kim Horn

Father-in-law James Hack. And many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended aunts, uncles and devoted lifelong friends.

Proceeded in death by: Renae Wasnie, Mother, Scott Mitchell, Father, Grandparents, Kenneth & Virginia Wasnie, Allen Mitchell, Uncles Johnathan & Michael Wasnie, Cousins Jhonna "Wasnie" Loftis & husband Luke Loftis, Brother-in-law Cedric Ford, Fur baby Diesel. Their memories remained deeply important to him throughout his life.

Those who knew Justin will remember him for his warmth, humor and the gentle way he showed up for others. He had a gift for making people feel seen & valued. Even on his hardest days, his resilience was inspiring and his kindness unwavering.

Justin's absence leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of his family and friends. But the legacy he leaves behind is one of Love, Perseverance and Extraordinary Strength.

Services will be held 11am on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel with a visitation one hour prior. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, November 19th from 5pm-7pm at the funeral home.
