JV Camp, 86, of Cabot went home to be with his Lord on July 7, surrounded by his wife and children.
Originally from Newport-Tuckerman, JV began a career with Victor Metals in 1956. He went on to work for Fischer Lime and Cement before moving on to become the plant manager. JV was a preacher for the Church of Christ and a Sojourn leader for six years. There was nothing JV loved more than the Lord and his family. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing with his family, working around his shop and growing an amazing garden for his family to pick from every year. He loved to jump on the tractor and always had a project or something to keep himself busy. His deep voice and quick wit were sure to make you laugh anytime you were around him. He is already deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jonas and Caryl (McMinn) Camp; brothers Larry Don, Johnny Mac and Tommy Lee Camp; granddaughter Bailey Davis; and fur-baby Lady-Bug (whom we are certain he is fishing with now!)
He is survived by his wife of almost 40 years, Brenda; children Regina (Bill) Limbert, Rickey (Kathy) Camp, Sonja (Mark) Skelton, Kevin (Debbie) Russell, Alicia (Chris) Krou; grandchildren BJ (Sonya) Limbert, Brandi (Derrick) Miser, Honey (Brandon) Breeding, Ashleigh (Justin) McEntire, Sarah (Austin) Ford, Mary (Nash) Meyers, Emma (Hunter) Fryman, Elijah Skelton, Brandon, Kyleigh & Kaitlynn Davis, Kaitlyn & Olivia Russell; great-grandchildren Matthew & Austin Limbert, Koen & Kage Breeding, Landon Sullinger, Caden McEntire, Estella & Hudson Ford, Evelyn Meyers, Sophia Fryman; and cousin Mary Jane Malone; fur-baby Angel Camp.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 12, 2023 from 1:00-2:30 PM at Northside Church of Christ, Beebe, with funeral service immediately following. Interment will be at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Cabot.
