Kai Smoke Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home & Crematory on Jun. 6, 2025.
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, nephew, and grandson, Kai James Smoke. Born on May 27, 2025, in Cincinnati, OH, Kai's bright journey came to a heartbreaking end on June 3, 2025. Although his time with us was tragically short, the immense love he brought into our lives will resonate in our hearts forever. A little hero in his own right, Kai was known for his big brown eyes and the way he smirked when his forehead was gently rubbed. He had an endearing way of holding onto his mother, Michi's, finger, a gesture that symbolized his innocence and warmth. We loved the way that he would muster up all the energy he had to peek at us through one eye because he wanted so badly to be a part of all the fun. Kai delighted everyone around him with his precious little squeaks, a sound that brought joy to his beloved Grandma Sandy. He shared a unique bond with his twin sister, Kailah, who will one day cherish him as her first and forever best friend. The love Kai received from his family-his grandmothers, Sandra and Sonja, his aunt Miwa and cousins, Kaili and Koah, his aunts, Candace, Patricia and Isabelle and even the love he felt from afar by those he hadn't yet met -was immense and unwavering, a reflection of the joy he brought into their lives. We will always remember our sweet little Jumanji boy and the footprints he left on our hearts will forever be a part of us.
In honor of Kai's short but impactful life, Services will take place at Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, 45231 (follow the blue line upon entering the memorial park) on Monday, June 9, 2025, beginning at 11:00AM with visitation. A Funeral Service at 12:00 PM, followed by a Graveside Service at 1:00 PM.
Though our time with Kai was fleeting, the love he radiated will forever illuminate our lives. We invite all who knew and loved him to join us in celebrating his fleeting life and the joy he brought to our world.
