Beloved Wife, Mother, Daughter, and Friend
April 12, 1966 – April 29, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kalpana on April 29, 2025. A devoted wife, loving mother, caring daughter, and loyal friend, Kalpana lived a life guided by love, dharma (duty), and compassion. She brought warmth, wisdom, and peace to everyone who knew her.
Kalpana embodied the spirit of seva (selfless service), always placing the needs of others before her own. She approached life with grace, patience, and unwavering faith. Her presence was calming, her advice heartfelt, and her love unconditional.
She leaves behind her beloved husband, Bhupesh Pathak, and her children: Hardi, Nidhi, Shawn, Dixie, all other family members and friends, all of whom will carry her memory forward with deep love and gratitude. Her life was a beautiful expression of the values she held dear-kindness, humility, and devotion.
A traditional Hindu funeral service will be held on May 4th at Beidelman-Kunsch (24021 Royal Worlington Dr, Naperville, IL 60564) followed by antim sanskar (last rites) in accordance with our customs. We invite family and friends to join us in offering prayers for her soul's peaceful journey and liberation (moksha).
Though she has left this earthly life, we find comfort in the belief that her atma (soul) has moved on to the next chapter of its eternal journey. Kalpana's light will continue to shine in the lives of all she touched.
