Kane B. Putt, age 57, of Cambridge, New Zealand, passed away unexpectedly on January 27, 2026, in Riverside, California. Kane was the beloved son of Neville J. and Diane K. Putt.
In 1984, the family moved to Western Samoa and began a new adventure with friendships that remain today all around the world. While his parents were in the Middle East, Kane and his brother continued their education and travel bug with their own journey to Greece, Egypt, and France. There is a story in there about cooking mac and cheese with Cheetos on the beach.
Kane lived a full and hardworking life, marked by dedication, skill, and a remarkable ability to fix whatever he touched. He attended weekend classes in some of Los Angeles’ finest restaurants with markable chefs to master his cooking skills. Over the years his cheeky smile brought good luck as he traveled the world with his parents, siblings, and family by getting into locations with amazing sunsets, ziplines, and water views people always dream about. Kane was always there with his jokes for his nieces and nephews, arranging travel plans, and stories of back in the day.
Kane's natural talent for repairing and building things was evident early on as a kid working with Neville, but his true passion was always planning and mechanics. He was known for his attention-to-details, strong work ethic, and commitment to doing every job with precision. Get it done early!
Kane loved all animals and continued to adopt cats from local shelters throughout his adult life. He was very generous with his time and when it came to helping others who were less fortunate and just needed help. Kane loved to surf, ski, fish, and then golf, which was up for debate because it took too long to finish 18 holes.
Kane’s presence will leave a lasting impression on everyone he encountered, and his legacy lives on through the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, son, friends, co-workers, and his latest adopted furry friend Pepper.
Funeral services will be graveside at 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road, Las Vegas, NV 89129-5907, at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026.
