Kara Higgins, 50, died on August 17, 2025, at her home under hospice care surrounded by her loving family. Born in La Jolla, California she was the daughter of Stella Helen Siurtek and Jack Fredrick Walden. Kara was married to her beloved spouse Tim for over twenty-three years. She was the proud mother of Luke, Chloe, Wubwub, Nubbers, and Professor Pickles.

Kara worked as a Retail Manager and ran her own store on eBay for over 15 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her many cats. She loved home improvement projects, and customized every aspect of her home. Kara was a super fan of Air Supply, and had traveled throughout the Northeast to see them in concert.
