I am so sorry Kara Sue went through such illness. She was far too young and vibrant.

While we were growing up, our families knew each other for years as we all attended Stone Church together. We sang together in youth choir there, directed by Donna Weddle. We also attended church programs together, Skylarks, Orioles, Junior, and Senior high camps at Camp Doniphan in Excelsior Springs MO. We lived about a mile from the church and as you know, your mom and grandparents lived right next to the east side of the church.

Here is a humorous remembrance of your mom. We had nicknames for each other. She called me Sieggy. I called her Carrot Stew In The Alley. She always laughed. Kara Sue Allen is always how I will remember her.

We lost touch over our first couple of adult decades. Then one day where I worked at Bell, when waiting for the elevator, the doors opened and there she was! Neither of us had any clue we both worked for Bell, let alone in the same building on different floors. We did see each other on-and-off when in that building, though our departments didn´t interface. We did connect some with our mutual friend Lou Combs.

Your mom´s smile was so sweet, just like she was. Good memories

I spent a summer in Lebanon in 1969. Kara Sue was living with her aunt and uncle. I got to know the sweet girl that she was. We listened to man walking on the moon. We kept in contact occasionally and I saw the woman she became. I am glad to share some moments of her life.

This world is such a small place. I grew up with Kara. Our parents were close friends. We used to spend Sunday afternoons at either their house or ours. Kara and I ran the ramps at the Auditorium during conference and enjoyed Zions league and camp Doniphan summer camps.
Condolences to her family and friends.

I'm so very sorry to hear of Kara Sue's passing. I went to Stone Church with her when we were young including participating in Skylarks and Children's Choir together. I have many good memories of her. She was a beautiful soul.
