Karen S. Agnew, 76, of Newark, passed away on April 29, 2024 at the Laurels of Heath. She was born in Zanesville, Ohio on August 21, 1947.
Prior to retirement, Karen was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Newark Heathcare Center for over 20 years. She was a member of the Heath Church of Christ and was a member of the local Weight Watchers organization. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, music and was very involved with her children's and grandchildren's school and sporting activities.
Survivors include her husband, Roger W. Agnew; daughter and son-in-law, Christina S. and Edwin Smith; daughter-in-law, Becca Sheldon Agnew Hoskinson; grandchildren, Abby (Alec) Smith, Brittany (Ty) Smith, Michael (Kaitlyn) Smith, Joshua Smith, Autumn Agnew, Christy Agnew, Katy Agnew and Ally Agnew; great grandchildren, Amilee Smith, Theodore Smith, Lydia Marquart and Kora Marquart; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jason Agnew; sister, Leslie Pierce; and brothers, Ray Pierce and Jeff Pierce.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Karen to Ohio Living Hospice by visiting www.OhioLivingHospice.org.
A memorial service, celebrating Karen's life will be held at a later date at the Heath Church of Christ.
