Karen Lynn Aiello of Orland Park, IL and Vero Beach FL, born in Decatur, GA and raised in Conyers, GA
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Karen Lynn Aiello, a beloved wife, daughter, sister, and friend, whose light and love touched every life she encountered.
Karen is survived by her devoted husband and soulmate, Frank Aiello, with whom she shared a life of unwavering love and companionship. She is also survived by her loving parents, Larry and Patsy (Lazenby) Barnett, and her cherished sister, Kelly (Jimmy) Hittle, who will forever carry her spirit in their hearts. In addition, she is survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles. Preceded in death is her devoted brother, Brian Barnett, and grandparents.
Karen was truly one of a kind-the most amazing, generous, loving, and kind person you could ever meet. She lived her life with extraordinary compassion, always placing the needs of others before her own. Her kindness knew no limits, and her selflessness was matched only by the joy she found in uplifting those around her.
Beyond her radiant spirit, Karen had many passions, one of which brought her recognition on a global stage: she proudly earned the title of World Online Rummikub Champion. While this accomplishment reflected her keen intellect and playful competitive nature, those who knew her best will remember her most for her warmth, laughter, and endless capacity for love.
Karen's legacy is one of kindness, generosity, and love. She leaves behind a community of family and friends who were better for having known her, and whose lives will forever be shaped by her example of selfless giving.
Her passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but her memory will continue to inspire and comfort all who loved her.
Memorial visitation Thursday 4:00 p.m. until time of Service 7:00 p.m. at the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 9000 W. 151st Street, Orland Park, IL.
