Entered into eternal rest on the morning of August 3, 2010, Karen Neumeister Bowen. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial services Saturday, August 7, 2010 at ten o'clock in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL. Burial will be private.
Karen was born November 2, 1946 in Charleston, SC, the daughter of Frank H. Neumeister and Victoria Gatch Neumeister. She retired from The Citadel as a Secretary/ Receptionist. She was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church and a substitute teacher at Sea Island Academy.
She is survived by two daughters: Kristina G.L. McMichael of James Island, SC and Katrina A. Bowen (Daniel Slygh) of Columbia, SC; one brother: Ernst A. Neumeister of Orangeburg, SC; three grandchildren: Thomas Wilson McMichael, Joseph Oliver McMichael and Austin Thomas Prather.
Memorials may be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 2711 Middleburg Dr. Ste. 105, Columbia, SC 29204.
