Karen Davis Buckson

Karen Davis Buckson was born on December 24, 1967, to Christine T. and the late Charles Davis Jr., in Richmond, Virginia. Her earthly journey transitioned into eternal rest on Friday, October 3, 2025.
Karen was educated in Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools. She later moved to Georgia, where she worked in the retail industry for more the twenty-five years.
Everyone who knew Karen lovingly joked about the joy she found in being a dedicated foodie and sharing new delicacies with others. Karen also enjoyed social activities with her friends. We could not have asked for a better daughter, sister, cousin, niece, and friend. She will truly be missed.
Fond memories of Karen will forever be cherished by her mother, Christine T. Pressey, and stepfather, Jarvis L. Pressey; sister Naomi Taylor; aunts, Mary Wallace, Marguerite Brown (Charlie), Robin Bradby, Lynn Delaney (Michael), Darlene White (Harmon), Gloria Walker, Evelyn Walker, and Collette Walker; uncles, Clarence W. Davis, John Walker, Marvin Pressey, Milton Minns (Ramona), and Clinton Minns; special cousin who was always there for her, Willie Johnson Jr; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2025, at Whiting's Funeral Home, with a viewing beginning at noon.
