Karen Collins Obituary
Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Karen Elaine McQueen Collins, 64, of Calhoun, LA will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, October 27, 2023, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Interment will follow in the Point Wilhite Cemetery near Downsville, LA. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Friday.
Mrs. Collins was born in Monroe, LA on November 13, 1958, and passed away in Longview, TX on October 24, 2023. She was employed at the age of 18, with the United States Postal Service and worked her entire career there, retiring as Postmaster. Karen is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Elaine McQueen and her husband, William “Bill” Collins.
Survivors include her brother, John McQueen and wife, Beckie; son, Jeremy Foy and wife, Holly; grandchildren, Gabriel Collins, Kinsley Collins, Jesse Foy and Savannah Foy; and stepson, Will Collins.
Pallbearers will Jeremy Foy, Jesse Foy, Caydin Moore, Cody Moore, Cayson Moore, and Mike Warren. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Melvin and Eric Rayner.
