Karen "Ueding" Cooper, 76, formerly of Vincennes passed away in Evansville, IN on Sunday September 28, 2025 at 7:15 PM CDT. Karen was born in Vincennes the daughter of John and Dorothy Lilly Ueding and was a graduate of St. Rose Academy and Vincennes University. She married Terry Cooper on Feb 27, 1971, and they made their life together for 33 years until his death on October 9, 2004. Karen worked as a Database Administrator at the Collier County Florida Sheriff's office until her retirement. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and truly enjoyed her family.

She is survived by her children, Timothy Cooper, and his wife Karla of Princeton, IN, Thomas Cooper, and his wife Katie of Leawood, KS and Tony Cooper of Indianapolis, IN. Her grandchildren, Mackenzi Cooper, Tucker Cooper, John Cooper and Luke Cooper. She is also survived by her brother and sisters, David Ueding of Covington, KY, Dorothy "Dottie" Clauss of Vincennes, IN, Connie Grable of Petersburg, IN and Kathy Frey of Vincennes, IN.

Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Cooper, her parents, John and Dorothy Ueding, a brother, John Ueding and her sisters, Darlene Smith and Mary Ann Ruppel.

Funeral services will be celebrated on Friday October 3, 2025 at 1:00 PM EDT at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Fr. Tony Ernst officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Terry in Mauck Cemetery in Owensville, IN. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM. Friends and family will gather at 2:30 PM EDT at Mauck Cemetery in Owensville for interment. Memorial contributions can be made in Karen's memory to the donor's charity of choice. Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home is honored to assist the Cooper family during their time of loss.

Was a class Kate of Karen's and a friend of hers since St. Rose Academy days! Her son Tom went to school with my son Brian. We didn't get to see each other very often but when we did it was like time stood still.
