Karen S. Cunningham, age 84, of Logansport, passed away Tuesday May 21, 2024, in Howard Regional Health of Kokomo.
Karen was born September 17, 1939, in Logansport to the later Dwight L. and Lucille (Gibson) Crook.

Karen retired as a medical assistant for Dr. (Doc) Shanteau where she had worked for 32 years. She was 1957 graduate of Logansport High School, enjoyed camping, mushroom hunting, Chicago Cubs Baseball and was a former member of Main Street United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Daphne (Jerry) Slusher, Logansport; Tabatha Mauer, St. Louis, MO; one son, Oppie (Beth Justice) Cunningham, Logansport; four granddaughters, Jaclyn (Clark) Wehmeier, Franklin; Brittany Maurer, St. Louis, MO; Brittany  Morrow, Travis AFB; Miranda (Charles) Wafford, Muncie; four grandsons, Jacob (Michelle Caldwell) Slusher, Lisbon, IA; Andrew (Katie) Mauer, El Paso, TX; Brandon Mauer, St. Louis, MO; Hunter, Cunningham, Logansport; two great grandsons, Otto Lee Wehmeier, Hamilton Wafford; four great-granddaughters, Frankie Jo Slusher, Sophia Wafford, Riley Mauer, Finley Mauer; several nieces and nephews.

Karen was also preceded in death by one sister, Violet L. Crook and three brothers, Pat Crook, Bill Crook and Robert Crook.

A celebration of life will be held at 7:00 pm Friday May 24, 2024, in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Vernon officiating.

A visitation will be held from 5 pm until the time of services on Friday at the funeral home.

A private burial will take place at a later date in Mount Hope Cemetery of Logansport.
