With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Karen Renee Eason, affectionately known as “Renee”, who left this world on January 8, 2025, at the tender age of 38. She was born on December 20, 1986, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas to Naomi Eason and James Gilmore. Renee was a beloved daughter and a cherished friend whose spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.

Renee was a proud 2005 graduate of Sparkman High School. She was a longtime employee of Brookshires, and her genuine and sweet personality was like a magnet that drew others to her. She furthered her passion for helping others by attending Ouachita Baptist University where she was a member of the TRI CHI Sorority, ultimately earning a master’s degree from Henderson State University. As a Licensed Professional Counselor at G&J Counseling, she dedicated her life to uplifting those in need, offering compassion and support with every session.

Renee had a zest for life that shone through her myriad of interests. An avid green thumb she found solace and joy in nurturing her beloved plants. Her keen eye for fashion and shopping included a fervent passion for designer purses, each a unique reflection of her vibrant personality. A true connoisseur of comfort, Renee cherished her time spent binge-watching classic episodes of "The Golden Girls," where laughter and life’s little lessons resonated deeply with her. Family vacations were a hallmark of her life, providing her with cherished memories and moments of relaxation that she held close to her heart.

A lover of nature’s wonders, Renee collected one-of-a-kind crystals and stones, each a testament to her belief in the beauty of the world around her. Whether among family or in quiet contemplation, she radiated warmth, love, and an unwavering spirit.

Precious memories will linger in the hearts of her parents, Naomi Eason of Arkadelphia, and James Gilmore of Bearden; her sisters, Michelle (Jeffrey) Berry, India Eason and Iria Eason all of Arkadelphia and her brother, Quintin Gilmore of Missouri; three sweet nieces, Niya Berry, Izabella Berry, and Ava Berry; her best friend, Kiaquana Jones; several aunt, uncles, special cousins, Tonya Paden, Elizabeth Ashford, Marcus Osborne and Cameron Dawn, numerous other cousins, the ladies of TRI CHI Sorority and innumerable friends.

The visitation will be Friday, January 17, 2025 from noon until 6:00 pm at the funeral home. It is a time for all to come together, to honor her legacy, reflect on the cherished moments shared, and to rejoice in the love she so freely gave.

As we bid farewell to Renee, let us remember her laughter, her kindness, and the light she brought into our lives. Though her physical presence may be gone, her spirit will forever reside in our hearts, guiding us toward love, compassion, and the beauty of life.
