Obituary published on Legacy.com by Swedberg Funeral Home - Shawano on Jul. 29, 2024.
Karen Ann Ebert, age 82, passed away suddenly on July 26, 2024, in Shawano. She was born on August 4th, 1941, to the late Edmund and Florelda (Eckes) Kraemer in Stanley, WI. Her parents were cheese makers at a number of locations in Wisconsin, spending her early childhood in Rio Creek, later moving to Pulaski where she graduated from high school. She was united in marriage to Lloyd "Lee" Anthony Ebert on September 14, 1963, at St. Jude Catholic Church in Green Bay.
Karen loved to read, was a virtual encyclopedia on classic movies, and enjoyed homemaking. Over the years she put her heart and countless hours into sewing beautiful outfits, cooking wonderful meals, and of course, always supporting and nurturing her family. She was active in scouting when her children were young and volunteered within many organizations. Her Catholic Faith was always at the center of her life.
Karen is survived by her children Sean (Patti) Ebert, Sheila (Todd) Hamilton; her grandchildren, Alexander and Daniel Ebert, and James, Alexis, and Jackson Hamilton, her sister Lois Kraemer, brother Michael (Patricia) Kraemer, and sisters-in-law Karen Lee Kraemer, Karen Marie Kraemer and Maureen Betz. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She is preceded in death by: her husband Lee Ebert who passed away two weeks before her, her parents Edmund and Florelda; her brothers Edmund Kraemer and Donald Kraemer, and brother-in-law John Ebert.
Karen and Lee's Funeral services will be held together at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Leopolis with Fr. Timothy Machila officiating.
