Therese J. Ebert

After a short struggle with a fast-moving cancer, Therese Jean Ebert "Terri" age 79, passed into the care of the Lord on December 31, 2025, at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee. Terri was born in La Crosse, WI and graduated from Baraboo High School in 1964.
She attended teachers' college and taught grade school at several Catholic schools. Her strong faith led her to Saint Agnes convent in Fond du Lac where she graduated with a B.A. at Marian College with a major in education. Terri then taught at several area schools as a reading specialist for the next 20 years.
During this period, she was challenged by many serious health issues which eventually required a liver transplant. Continued health struggles ended in medical disability. Despite her limitations, she routinely did volunteer work and enjoyed crafting and making beautiful rosaries for family and friends. Her strong faith sustained her throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her father Elmer, her mother Ellen, and a brother, Peter. She is survived by her sister Jan (and Don) Fritz of Rockford Illinois, and brother Thomas (and Sue) of Wrightstown, WI.
Terri's family would like to thank her dear friend Kathy Strean who continuously helped and provided friendship to Terri for several years. We are also very grateful for the caring professional staff at St. Agnes hospital, and especially the wonderful doctors and nurses at St. Luke's Oncology unit.
Visitation will be at Holy Family Catholic Church 271 Fourth Street Way, Fond du Lac, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on January 12th followed by a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM.
Terri will be laid to rest next to her parents and brother at Resurrection cemetery in Madison, WI.
