John, Larry and I send you and all of your family our deepest sympathy. Karen was really one of a kind. I feel like she added something positive to the lives of everyone who knew knew her and certainly everyone who worked with her at Cook Library. So sorry. Marcella Fultz

We worked together for many years and had our baby at the same time. A cherished memory. Such a wonderful person. Sending condolences to the whole family.

I worked with Karen at Cook Library for several years. In fact she trained me and helped me understand a lot of library systems. She became a good friend. Karen was always willing to help with anything needed. So sorry to hear about your loss .

I worked with Karen for many years. When I started at Towson University I depended on Karen for her expertise and help, and she became a close friend. I am so sorry to hear about her passing, and will remember her always.

Karen´s influence was indelible because she brought light and a smile to everyone she met, everyone she knew. We will miss her.

Karen... What an extraordinary treasure- SO generously kind, loving, intelligent, authentic, warm, welcoming, fun, and dedicated to family & friends! She made the world a better place by being in it. Quite a legacy in itself and she was also instrumental in the blossoming of the Towson University Library from the prodigious responsibility of completely transferring from the Dewey Decimal System to the current Library of Congress system- even extending post retirement as a volunteer to ensure its completion. Moreover, Karen will also be forever most cherished as the amazingly steadfast and utterly devoted sister, spouse, mom, and grandmother!

Dear Bill, John, Lizzie, Lisa and Eric:
Your profound and untimely loss of such a loving and beautiful person as Karen is hard to imagine. Though she lived a good life, she was surely taken too soon and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Know that I am thinking of you every day and praying for strength for each of you. My love goes out to all of you.
