Ì am Karen's sister and have many wonderful memories and great we had as kids. Our parents made sure we had fun vacations every year. Karen and I drove our parents crazy singing such #1 hits, such as 100 Bottles of Beer on the Wall and Found a Peanut. Played I am going on a trip and I am taking a _______ more times than you could count. Riding bikes, Brownies, going swimming at Pontiac Lake or Dodge Park. I was the one who would tan and Karen always burned to a crisp ... especially when we went to Florida.
When she was teaching I would take cupcakes for her whole classroom as a surprise, she and her students loved it. Karen would also have me come to her class with my guitar and sing songs with her "kids".
I fondly remember Karen and Dan's wedding. It was beautiful and they had many years that they shared traveling with my nephews with David and Michael.
We went together with the boys to Kings Island with my motorhome. It was a great adventure together and we made lots of memories.
My love goes out to Dan, David, Jennifer and their daughter Elizabeth, who was Karen's world. And Michael who she was very close to.
I pray that those who loved her, that their hearts heal with peace and happy memories.
God speed, sister.
