Karen Sue Johnson, 56, Ft. Morgan, passed away on August 8, 2025.

Karen was born in Ft. Morgan to Elmer Ivan and Elvera Francis (Larm) Johnson on August 16, 1968. Karen was the youngest of 6 kids: LeRoy, Betty, Darrell, Tracy, Keith, and Karen. Elmer and Elvera moved with the younger 4 kids to Garden City Kansas in 1977. Karen graduated from Garden City High School in 1986 and Garden City Community College with an associate's degree in business in 1997. Karen worked at Target, Garden City Veterinary Clinic, and as a CNA.

Karen loved to read and do many crafts. She had a love of animals, including her dog, Scarlett. Karen and Tracy moved from Kansas to Colorado in with their sister Betty and brother-in-law Randy in 2021. Karen was with her significant other Rick for 15 years, even when she moved to Colorado, they stayed in contact with each other and saw each other as often as they could. Karen started to go to church and have a love of Jesus when she moved in with her sister and brother-in-law. Karen enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Elmer and Elvera, sister Tracy, brother-in-law Arnold, sister-in-law Marilyn, and other family members.

She is survived by her significant other Rick, brother LeRoy (Larinda), sister Betty (Randy), brother Darrell, brother Keith, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Karen's memorial service will be held September 13th (her parent's anniversary) at 1pm at 15855 US Hwy 34 Ft. Morgan. With a lunch to follow.
