With love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of Karen Kelly Jurec, 77, of Vermont, who passed away with her daughter by her side.

Karen was a lifelong teacher whose heart belonged to children. She shared her wisdom, kindness, and joy with everyone she met, always finding beauty in life's simple moments. Her hope in the promise of Revelation 21:4 was a comfort and strength through her days. Her ability to uplift others and see the good in every situation touched countless lives.

She is survived by her devoted daughter Hope (Tom) Bathrick and cherished grandchildren Isabella, Micah, and London; longtime loved partner Joseph Jurec, her beloved niece Kelly (Nando) Rivera; cousin Jeannie (Ed) Derry; brother Gordon Lange-Kelly, sister-in-law Susan Bunnell. Karen also leaves behind many dear friends, including Darragh Hodges, Marcia Jordan, Brianne Chambers, Dell Chartier, Pam Cyr, Mary Rowland, Cathy Celeste and Caryn Weinstein, Jessie Carrier, Deb Hensley and, Michelle LaMontagne who brought light and laughter to her days.

Karen's legacy lives on in the love she gave, the lessons she taught, and the joy she spread.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be a burial at Puritan Lawn Cemetery (185 Lake Street Peabody, MA) November 6 at 1pm.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.
