Karen M. LaClair, age 63, of Amesbury, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025, in the peaceful serenity of the High Point Hospice House in Haverhill, surrounded by loving family.
Born in Haverhill, August 23, 1962, she was the daughter of Barry C. LaClair and the late Gloria J. (Battles) LaClair, who died in 2012. Karen was a graduate of Pentucket Regional High School, Class of 1980, where she was a talented athlete. She excelled in field hockey, basketball, and softball and was awarded a sports scholarship to New Hampshire College (now SNHU) where she completed an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. Later, she continued her education at Northern Essex Community College, earning another Associates Degree in Graphic Design. She worked for many years in professional office settings, including a Legal office and MassRehab.
“Auntie” as she was known to family, was a generous and loving aunt, sister and daughter. She always knew the best gifts to give, was a talented arts and crafts artist, and enjoyed hosting family birthday parties and holidays. Although the gathering places may have been small, they were filled with love, homemade cooking, and plenty of laughter.
She leaves behind a legacy that will always be treasured by her two sisters, Laurie Dunning and Christine LaClair and her spouse Molly Froelich; her two nieces, Alicia Dunning and Brianna Dunning; a great nephew, James Jr. and two great nieces, Jewel and Jream, along with extended family. In addition to her mother, Gloria, she was also predeceased by her brother, Brian C. LaClair and her brother-in-law, Mark P. Dunning.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2025 from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. at Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, MA, followed by a Memorial Service with reflections from family and friends. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider making donations in memory of Karen M.
