Karen Marie McLuckie, beloved daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on July 15, 2025, in Diamondhead, Mississippi, at the age of 45. Born on March 6, 1980, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Karen's vibrant personality and infectious love for life touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Karen built a commendable career as a nurse at Memorial Hospital Clinic, dedicating 15 years to caring for others with utmost compassion and professionalism. Her commitment to her patients exemplified her nurturing spirit and the warmth she carried within her.
A proud alumnus of East Mississippi Community College, where she honed her skills as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Karen also attended Mississippi State University. Her educational journey laid the foundation for a fulfilling career that allowed her to make significant contributions to the health and well-being of her community.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Karen was a huge Disney fan, always embracing the magic and joy that the beloved franchise represents. She cherished every opportunity to share her love for Disney with family and friends, creating lasting memories along the way.
Karen's interests extended beyond her career and passion for Disney; she participated in 5K races and was an avid reader, always eager to indulge in a good book. Her love for her cats exemplified her gentle nature, and she found boundless joy in spending quality time with her family and friends.
Karen is survived by her devoted parents, William and Kathy McLuckie, and her brother Chris McLuckie, who shares his life with Francesca Cigliola. She also leaves behind numerous uncles and aunts, including Kevin Smith (Stephanie), Michael Smith (Ginger), Sean Adams (Aaron), Lynn Necaise (John), and Sue Wilson (Tom). Her legacy continues through her nieces and nephews, Sienna and Colton McLuckie, and cousins Mark Smith, Anthony Smith, Ryan Necaise, Tyler Necaise, Tim Wilson, and Sam Wilson.
A visitation will be held on July 26, 2025, at the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Pass Christian, Mississippi, starting at 9:00 AM. This will be followed by a Mass at the same location, commencing at 10:00 AM.
