Mrs. Karen Sue Parker Bridges, age 65, of Raleigh, departed this life on Thursday, December 14, 2023.
Funeral, 11 AM, Friday, December 22, 2023, at St. Matthew AME Church, 1629 Bennett Street, Raleigh. The Rev. Marion B. Robinson, Pastor, Officiating. Visitation, 10 AM to 11 AM, Friday, prior to the service with the Delta Sigma Theta Omega Omega Ceremony at 10 AM. Interment, Mount Hope Cemetery,120 Prospect Avenue, Raleigh. Public viewing, 12 Noon to 8 PM, Thursday, December 21, 2023 at the funeral home.
Survivors; husband, Darrell T. Bridges; children, Darrell T Bridges II and Olivia Bridges; brother, George M. Parker (Almetta) and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Sue....as I called her....went to school together. From elementary to high school. The main thing I'll Always remember about her...is her Warm Beautiful Smile and A Heart that Match!!!! I'll miss you Queen. Rest Easy!!!

Visiting her family on Bridge St. in Smithfield, North Carolina. I remember when Sue use to come and visit the Austins regularly on Bridge street. She always had that beautiful smile, such a pleasant smile.
