Karen Leigh Parzych, age 62 of
Snellville, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024. Mrs. Karen Barber Parzych, daughter of the late Sue Barber and Richard Barber was born January 13, 1962 in
Atlanta, Georgia. Karen enjoyed cooking, movies, music, art, books, the outdoors and visiting the beach. She was a lover of all things nature and taught others to admire its beauty. In the beginning of her career Karen worked for brokerage firms EF Hutton, and Bear Sterns in
Buckhead, GA during the 1980's and early 90's as a wire operator trading stocks in the NYSE. Shortly after she attended the Atlanta School of Culinary Arts where she earned her culinary degree. After that she changed her career path and began working with several friends in the Pawn brokerage business. She worked in this field for around fifteen years, became very talented in the area by identifying the value of items and creating fine jewelry from raw materials. Around 2015 Karen opened her first business on Etsy named Kasu's Creations Art selling 'Eclectic Art and Jewelry'. She added two more businesses to her portfolio on Instagram in 2020. A fetish for Beads was a wholesale 'glass bead distributor' and Mystical Dream Art 'sold paintings that she created'.In her personal life she was the wife to Philip Parzych, whom she married February 15, 1986. They had been married for 38 years. They were truly soulmates and best friends. They enjoyed many trips to the beach together and shared their love of animals over the years. She was also a fierce creator and loved working with her hands. Karen was part of many art communities where she was loved and respected for her craft and support of other artists.Karen is preceded in death by her mother and father. Monroe, GA, Her niece Hannah Parzych of Conyers, GA, Her nephew Tyler Parzych of Conyers, Her niece Jennifer Olejnik of California, Her brother and sister in laws John and Doreen Parzych of Conyers, GA, Robert Parzych of
Lilburn, GA, Steven Parzych of Conyers, GA, Douglas Parzych of Decatur and several great nieces and nephews, as well as many cousins and extended family.The memorial service to celebrate the life of Karen Leigh Parzuch will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel,
