Karen M. (OKeefe) Piemonte, of Enfield, CT., and formerly of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Karen was born in Stafford Springs, Ct., on December 14, 1946, the daughter of the late James and Margaret (Felton) O Keefe. Karen was a graduate of St. Marys School in Southbridge, MA. and a parishioner of Holy Name Church in Springfield. Karen was a master of mixology at Shannons Corner in Springfield where she bartended for many years and enjoyed entertaining her customers. Later she worked for Silver Brick Property Management in Springfield. Karen and her partner Dave both shared an interest in horse pulls, gardening and spending time at the beach in Truro, on Cape Cod. She also had a love for animals especially taking care of the neighborhood cats. But most of all she treasured moments with her family and friends and hanging in their backyard by the fire pit, with a cocktail in hand, watching the Connecticut river flow by. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her former husband Joseph Piemonte in 2013, her two brothers Michael and Terry O Keefe, his wife Rena and her sister Sheila Brooks. Karen is survived by her four devoted sons Joseph "Todd" Piemonte and his wife Christine of East Longmeadow, Derrick J. Piemonte of Springfield and his partner Michelle Berube, Drew E. Piemonte and his wife Tara of Springfield and Bryce J. Piemonte of Springfield. Karen leaves her loving partner Dave Reed of Enfield, CT., two sisters Maureen Card and husband Jim of Maryland, and Pat Blackwood of Wales, her best friend Monique Levesque of Enfield, CT., and six cherished grandchildren, Brennan Piemonte and his girlfriend Taylor Pendorf of Warwick, R.I., Collin Piemonte of Springfield, Joseph Piemonte and his husband Colin Loiselle of Boston, Carley Piemonte and her boyfriend Tony Figueroa of Westerly, R.I., Gianna Piemonte of East Longmeadow and Garrett Piemonte of Springfield. She also leaves many beloved nieces and nephews.
