Karen Ruth Rieck

Karen Ruth Rieck, age 67, of McHenry, IL, entered this world on March 18, 1958, and grew up in Wauconda, IL. On August 23, 2025, she peacefully left this world.
Karen is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Thomas C. Rieck; her son Aaron Rieck and his wife Jennifer, and their children Ellie, Marla, Emma, and Selah; her daughter Adriana Farmer and her husband David, and their children Logan, Emma, and Henry; and her son-in-law Alex Bowden and his children Brianna, Brayden, and Olivia. She is also survived by her brothers Kenneth Schmuldt (wife Norma) and Jerry Schmuldt (wife Sue).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Dorothy Schmuldt, and her beloved daughter, Alyssa Ann Bowden.
Karen was a believer in Christ and a loving and devoted Grandma, Mum Mum, and Nonnie to her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy. She cherished spending time with them, especially on adventures both big and small.
To those who knew her, Karen was the life of the party-warm, welcoming, and filled with love. Her sense of humor rivaled that of a professional comedian, though her style was uniquely her own and utterly unforgettable.
Her family and friends will gather to celebrate her remarkable life and legacy on Saturday, August 30, 2025, with visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM at Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
