Karen MaryAnne Savoy

Karen MaryAnne Savoy, October 27, 1957 to March 19, 2011. Died suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, March 19, 2011 in Troy, Michigan. Karen is survived by her loving mother, Vilma, beloved brothers Matt (Brenda) and Greg, her nieces Stefanie and Emily Savoy and her nephew Matthew Savoy. Karen will be dearly missed by her many friends, including the Woodside Bible Church family. Also surviving is her loving dog, GG Preceded in death by her father, Hank Savoy, deceased August 4, 2008. Karen graduated from Eastern Michigan University. She had a lifelong passion for music and theater, and she was a longtime member and devoted Christian in her faith at Woodside Bible Church. She sang in the choir for many years. Karen was also a very avid cook and really enjoyed cooking for her friends and family. Visitation Tuesday, March 22, 2011, from 3-8 p.m. at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral home, 2600 Crooks Road, Troy, Michigan (between Maple & Big Beaver Roads). Funeral Service Wednesday, March 23, 2011 - 11:00 a.m. at Woodside Bible Church, 6600 Rochester Rd., Troy, Michigan, with The Rev. Eric Haven officiating.
