Karen A. Seib

Karen A. Seib, 78, of Newburgh, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 5, 1946 in Evansville to the late William L. and Evelyn (Palmer) Bethel.

Karen graduated from Rex Mundi High School in 1964 and was a graduate of the St. Mary's School of Nursing. She was a very dedicated nurse and started her nursing career at St. Mary's Hospital in 1967 in pediatrics. Karen also worked at the family practice and pre-procedure clinics, retiring in October of 2011. She was an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church since 1976 where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and on the bereavement committee. Karen was a member of the St. Mary's Nursing Alumnae Association. She was a devout Catholic. Karen loved to travel, and especially enjoyed the beach. She was very social and liked spending time playing games and having lunch with her girlfriends.

Karen is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dennis T. Seib; sons, Mark T. (Tiffany) Seib and Nicholas W. (Fatima) Seib; and grandchildren Lindsay, Zach, Isabel and Charlotte Seib, and Luke and Madison Trueblood.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Seib; and brother, David Bethel.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 1, 2025 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville with a Memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 2, 2025 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Rd., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the church with Father Dusty Burns officiating.

Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
