Childhood neighbors, then Facebook and Twitter friends. Followed Karen´s journeys from teaching to retirement jobs, family joys, gatherings and trips, and then her fall at the nail salon and her journey through ALS health issues. Her upbeat joy, laughter will remain in my tie-dyed memories of her. Prayers going out to her parents, Tom and Peggy, her brother, Tommy, and sister, Cathy, as well as the extended family of aunts, uncles, cousin, nieces and nephews. With fondness and prayers, Lynn Schneid Bowling

I was so sad to hear of Karen´s passing. I taught with her at Crums Lane. She always put a smile on peoples faces. She could make me laugh no matter how I felt. She was a great teacher and the children loved her. Prayers to her family and friends. Rest in peace.
