Karen Denae Skiles

Karen Denae Skiles, 47, of Beckley, WV, passed away on January 12, 2023. Through God's grace and many prayers, she passed in her home with her mother and family by her side. Karen was born on June 14, 1975 in Beckley, WV. She was the daughter of Denny and Beverly Skiles.
Karen was an amazing daughter, sister, and Auntie "KK". She had a beautiful smile that is remembered by everyone whose life she touched in one way or another. Her career as a medical assistant allowed her to work at various medical offices throughout Beckley. She loved her work and brought joy to her colleagues and patients. Everyone looked forward to her telling them good morning, showing them her crazy socks, and just being someone they truly enjoyed working with.
She is survived by her mother, Beverly Skiles; her twin sisters, Cindi Reeves and Wendi Shumate; her brother-in-law, Jason Shumate; her niece, Jenna Reeves; and her nephews, Ryan Reeves and Cole Shumate; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family would like to give a special thank you to everyone from the ARH Medical Mall for their love and support through this difficult time. She loved the staff and doctors she worked with. It is here that she found "her people", Meagan, Heather, Stephany, DJ, Lexie, Patti, Allie, Becky, Patricia, April, and Jaxsyn.
Also, a special thank you to friends, Nancy, Mike, and Raleigh.
Per wishes, there will be no service held at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
