Karen Wachendorf Tipton of Gassville, Arkansas, passed away June 5, 2025, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 77. She was born August 2, 1947 in Ames, Iowa, the daughter of Miles and Sara Goff Wachendorf. She married Michael on September 27, 1975 and worked as a software engineer for Control Data Corporation/Siemens Manufacturing. Karen lived in Gassville since moving from Minneapolis, Minnesota in 2005. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and bridge. Karen's most cherished moments were spent volunteering at the YMCA infant daycare rocking babies.
Karen is survived by her husband, Michael Martin Tipton; brothers, Miles & Erich Wachendorf and sister Mary Liz Lewis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son Matthew Michael Tipton.
Karen's final resting place will be in Kirby's Tucker Mausoleum.
