Karen Sue Toole, 74, of Emmaus, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest. Born in Sacramento, CA, Karen was a daughter of the late John and Marjorie Collins (Driscoll).
Karen was a talented jazz piano instructor, sharing her love for music with students and inspiring countless others to explore their musical talents. Her dedication to the arts extended beyond her teaching; she was an active member of the local arts community, gracing the stage in various theatrical productions, and resonating with audiences through her love of singing.
In addition to her musical endeavors, Karen also worked in the emergency medical services field, demonstrating her compassion and commitment to helping others. She was a proud spiritual person, holding dear her rich Irish and Native American heritage, which influenced her worldview and the warmth she exuded to those around her. Karen touched the lives of many with her passion for music and her vibrant spirit.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter: Brittany Gougher (Alex) of Danielsville; granddaughters: Sparrow and Sylvie. Karen was predeceased by a son: John "Jack" Toole and brother: John Collins.
A Celebration of Karen's life that embodies her love for music and community will be held privately at a later date. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at: bensingfuneralhome.net.
