Karen Lorraine Thompson Vosburgh, a beloved resident of Bloomingdale, GA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 31st, 2026. Born in Anderson, Indiana, on December 31st, 1974, Karen lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to those she cherished.
Karen was a devoted mother to her son, Jacob Vosburgh, who was the light of her life. She is also survived by her loving mother, Ruth Ann Wynn Cross; her twin sister, Jean "Niccole" Folds; her brother, Kenneth M. Thompson, Jr.; her uncle, Ricky Wynn; her aunt, Christine Wynn; and Robert Plaster, Sr. (Cathy), who was like a second father to her. She leaves behind her ex-husband, John Vosburgh, as well as many other family members and friends who admired and adored her. Karen was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth M. Thompson, Sr.; cousins, Paul Wynn and Nina Wells; and her uncle, Jimmy Wynn.
A dedicated and compassionate sales clerk, Karen was known for her warm smile and her unwavering commitment to helping others. She touched the lives of many through her work and was a cherished member of every team she joined.
Karen had a zest for life and a love for simple pleasures. She was of Baptist faith and had a passion for shopping, traveling, yard selling, and exploring flea markets, always finding joy in seeking new treasures and experiences.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Karen's life on Friday, April 3rd, 2026, at Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 am.
