Karey Maye Smith, a beloved Mother, Loving Aunt, and Cherished Sister, passed away on December 25, 2023, in Indianapolis, IN.
Karey is survived by her son, Corwin Smith; mother, Karen Shilling; siblings, Joanne Yarnell, Mark Tarter, Jimmy Yarnell, and Shannon Carr; nieces, JoLeana Smith and Tina Knowles; nephew, Curtis Kinnett; great nieces and nephews, Curtis Jr., Curissa, Savana, MyLee, Anabelle, Ender, AtLas, and many others.
Karey was a caretaker her whole life and formed many important and long-lasting relationships with her clients and their families. She was a very direct person, but she had a unique soul and was incredibly thoughtful. Karey remembered everybody's birthdays and you could always count on a phone call from her to ask how you were doing. She loved her family very much. Her son was the light of her life and was incredibly proud of him. Karey will be missed deeply by all those who knew and loved her.
