Karin Lee (Larson) Mauzey

January 20, 1963 - July 10, 2025

Karin Lee (Larson) Mauzey, 62, Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away on July 10, 2025, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer during which her spirit never faltered. She was born on January 20, 1963 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Sandra (Metcalf) and the late Lehmen Arlie Larson. She graduated from Chippewa Falls High School and Chippewa Valley Technical College. She began her long work career at Varco Pruden Buildings, later changed to Bluescope Buildings, on January 2, 1984, and officially retired on January 24, 2025. During that time, she met and fell in love with Richard Mauzey Sr., St. Joseph, and were married on May 12, 2001 and had two amazing children, Kamrin and Kason Mauzey, both of St. Joseph.

Karin loved taking trips around the country with her family. Most notably, in 2022 when they traveled to the Northeast so she could visit her 50th state. She enjoyed spending her free time playing softball and volleyball, watching her children's sporting games and scrapbooking with the ladies.

She is preceded in death by her father, Lehmen Larson and her cousin and travel buddy Jeff "Cuzz" Larson.

She is survived by her husband Richard Mauzey Sr., her children Kamrin LaMay and Kason Lehmen Mauzey, her step children Buck (Misty) and Stephanie Mauzey, her mother Sandra Larson (Chippewa Falls, WI), her sisters Kim (Dennis) Gullickson of Eau Claire, WI and Patti Larson (Green Bay, WI), her nieces Dawn (Justin) Kuehl (Eau Claire, WI) and Sam Larson (Green Bay, WI), and nephew Greg (Mary Ellen) Gullickson (Marshfield, WI) and multiple grandchildren, great nieces and nephews, aunt, uncles, and cousins.
