KARIN ELISABETH WIKLUND-COOKE PASSED AWAY ON JULY 5, 2024, IN
PORTLAND, OREGON, AT THE AGE OF 65. BORN ON JUNE 7, 1959, IN
LANDSTUHL, GERMANY, TO ERNA AND LARS WIKLUND. KARIN WAS
CELEBRATED FROM BIRTH FOR HER RADIANT BEAUTY AND CAPTIVATING
PRESENCE. HER LIFE WAS MARKED BY HER PROFOUND ABILITY TO
CONNECT WITH PEOPLE THROUGH HER ELOQUENCE AND WARM,
INVITING PERSONALITY.

HER LIFE WAS FILLED WITH SURPRISE AND JOY AS SHE EMBRACED
MOTHERHOOD. SHE WELCOMED HER FIRST DAUGHTER, ANGEL, IN 1975,
FOLLOWED BY MIRANDA IN 1979, ALEXIS IN 1985, AND LATER, AFTER
MARRYING DARNELL COOKE SR. ON AUGUST 8, 1988, SHE GAVE BIRTH TO
DARNELL JR. IN 1989. HER FAMILY GREW EVEN BIGGER WITH THE ARRIVAL
OF GABRIELLE IN 1998, AND DANIELLE IN 1999.
KARIN'S LIFE WAS RICH WITH CREATIVITY AND PASSION. SHE BROUGHT
BEAUTY INTO THE WORLD THROUGH HER CRAFTS. HER GARDENS WERE A
TESTAMENT TO HER LOVE FOR NATURE AND HER HOME WAS A CANVAS OF
HER AESTHETIC SENSE. SHE WAS A FASHIONISTA AT HEART. “MRS. PUT IT
ON”, IS WHAT HER DAUGHTER GABRIELLE REFERRED TO HER AS. ABOVE
ALL, KARIN CHERISHED HER ROLE AS A GRANDMOTHER, DEDICATING
HERSELF TO HER GRANDCHILDREN, WHO BROUGHT IMMENSE JOY AND
FULFILLMENT TO HER LATER YEARS.

KARIN IS SURVIVED BY HER MOTHER, CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN,
WHO WILL MISS HER DEEPLY. SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER
FATHER, LARS WIKLUND SR., AND HER BROTHER, LARS WIKLUND JR. HER
HUSBAND DARNELL COOKE SR, AND LATER PARTNER JOSEPH ABBOTT.
ROSE CITY CEMETERY AND FUNERAL HOME WAS THE FINAL RESTING
PLACE OF ONE OF THE GREAT LOVES OF HER LIFE, CHESTER. THIS
CEMETERY MEANT ALOT TO OUR BELOVED KARIN. SHE EVEN TAUGHT HER
SON DARNELL TO DRIVE ON THE NARROW ROADS. SHE SHARED MANY
MEMORIES WITH HER CHILDREN HERE, AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO.
