Karl Barch Obituary

Ashville Karl M. Barch, age 77, of Ashville, OH, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. Karl was born on October 25, 1948, in Columbus, OH to the late Charles W. and Mildred M. (Bryan) Barch. Karl was a 1966 graduate of Marianna High School, Marianna, FL, and was a retired bus driver for Columbus City Schools. A member of St. John's Lutheran Church and member and supporter of the Ashville Museum, he was an avid motorcyclist and roadster enthusiast who loved spending time with family, friends and community.

Karl is survived by his children, Bryan Barch (Jessica Goldberger), Erin (John) Dominguez and Kara Barch; brothers, Erich (Judy) Barch of Hollywood, FL, Douglas (Becky) Barch of Tallahassee, FL, and Robin Barch of Columbus, OH; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Karl is preceded in death by his brother Kurt Barch.

Visitation with family will take place on Tuesday, March 31 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St, Ashville, OH. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 1 at 11:00 a.m. at Fernwood Cemetery, Lockbourne, OH with Pastor Patty Morlock offering words of comfort. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Ashville Museum, 34 Long St., Ashville, Ohio 43103. Condolences can be made online at www.olivercheekfuneralhome.com. Karl Barch
