Karl Lee Kupke, a dedicated family man, respected community member, and proud veteran, passed away peacefully at his home in Bishop, Texas on December 30, 2023. He was born on May 9, 1962, in New Iberia, Louisiana to Walter Kupke, Jr. and Joy Dugas.
Karl was a graduate of Bishop High School and went on to serve his country with honor in the U.S. Navy's nuclear submarine service.
Karl is preceded in death by his father Walter Kupke, Jr.
He is survived by his mother Joy "Mickey" Bonin, brothers Walter Kupke III (Dayna) of Monroe, LA, and Kenneth Kupke (Heidi) of San Antonio, TX, children Kristine Gossett (Darin) of Canyon Lake, TX, Sarah and Patrick Kupke of Austin, TX, and grandchild Aryanna Kupke of Canyon Lake, TX.
Services to honor the memory of Karl Lee Kupke will go as follows: a visitation will be held at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary at 5:00 PM on Monday, January 8, 2024, and the following day, Tuesday, January 9, 2024, a funeral service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bishop, Texas, at 10:30 AM. After the funeral service, Karl will be laid to rest at Concordia Lutheran Cemetery in Bishop, TX.
