Karl E. Schmidt

I had not heard about Karl's passing until recently.
My condolences and prayers to his family.
The Schmidt family used to keep their airplanes at our airport back in the 1980's. Karl and Dutch both enjoyed aviation and sailing.

As neighbors of Karl we were so appreciative of Karl´s kindness in plowing our street on those
snowy winter early mornings when we would have to go to work. That always made our lives a bit easier to start our day.
It was always good to see Karl riding down the street with one of his furry companions at his side.

I met Karl years ago when, through his generosity, he allowed me to run the puppy energy out of my white German shepherd during the off season at the marina. In exchange I became the quasi security guy to let him know if I witness anything out of line through the winter months.
RIP Karl.
