Karla Margaret Pifher

Karla Margaret (King) Pifher, 51, of Delaware, Ohio passed away peacefully early Monday morning, November 27, 2023 at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 20, 1972 in Willard, Ohio to Harry and Judy (White) King. She graduated from Willard High School, received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Bowling Green State University, and her Master's Degree in Education from the University of Toledo. Karla served countless students through her teaching at the Ohio Virtual Academy. Karla's mission in life was always to make a positive impact on those she came in contact with through her selfless acts. Her most impactful contribution and lasting legacy was in the genuine love she shared for each one of her students throughout her 30 years of teaching. Karla's love for children continued through her work as a Wish Granter with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. She enjoyed shopping, reading, and being out in the sun, whether at the pool or beach. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and spoiling her great nephews. And did we mention she loved shopping... Karla demonstrated what true strength and perseverance was as she battled disease for over 30 years, never complaining and always sharing a positive outlook, regardless of the circumstances. This attitude gracefully continued as she fought her last fight over the past 6 weeks of her life. Karla was preceded in death by her father Harry King. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 25 years, Kyle Pifher; her loving daughters Teegan and Quinlan; her mother, Judy King; brothers, Keith King and Kevin (Lisa) King; sisters, Kathleen (Chris) Rothhaar and Kristie (Brian) Strayer; and her precious nieces, nephews, great nephews and great niece. A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 2 - 4 pm at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive at W. William Street, Delaware. A service celebrating Karla's life will follow at 4:00 pm officiated by her nephew, Jake King.
