Karla Magdalene (Robinson) Wadewitz, 65, of Ottawa, Kansas died Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Rock Creek Nursing Home in Ottawa, Kansas.

She was born March 4, 1960 in Fredonia, Kansas the daughter of Ivan and Carlyn (Jones) Robinson. She graduated from Fredonia High School with the class of 1978.

In 1982, Karla was united in marriage to George Wadewitz in Fredonia, Kansas. They later divorced.

Karla worked as a cook at McDonald's for 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Carlyn Robinson; two sisters, Marlene Connolly and Cheryl Robinson; and a niece, Nicole Robinson.

She is survived by two sons, George Wadewitz and his wife, Heather, of Garnett, KS and Ivan Wadewitz of Ohiowa, NE; a daughter, Amy Wadewitz of Milan, IL; a step-son, Richard Wadewitz and his wife, Michelle, of Ottawa, KS; a step-daughter, Traci Wadewitz-Hupp and her husband, Chris, of Ottawa, KS; five grandchildren, Angel Wadewitz, Lilly Wadewitz, Chevy Wadewitz, Hayden Wadewitz, and Ethan Wadewitz; and two sisters, Brenda Roberts and her husband, Doug, of Pittsburg, KS and Julie Robinson of Augusta, KS.

Inurnment will occur at a later date at Fredonia Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family through www.lamb-roberts.com.
