Karol Bunce Miller, age 78, of Thomasville, Georgia, passed away on February 25, 2026, at her home. Karol was born on September 23, 1947, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, to loving parents Broadus and Frances Collier Bunce.
Karol was a devoted member of Dawson Street Baptist Church, where she found a sense of community and purpose. A lover of the outdoors, Karol cherished her travels to the mountains, particularly the Great Smoky Mountains and Sitka, Alaska. She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening, transforming her yard into a beautiful oasis. Sports were another passion of hers-she not only played softball and basketball but also proudly supported all North Carolina sports teams as a devoted Tar Heel. In her leisure time, she loved surf fishing and spending time at the beach.
Karol is survived by her daughters, Amy Nix (Jay) of Thomasville and Stephanie Mock (David) of Coolidge. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Logan Nix, Lindsey Gonzalez (Kevin), and Lauren Nix, along with her siblings, Anita Scroggie (Gene), Cathy Yeomans (Mitch), Elaine Cloud, Marsha Eaton (Gerald), and Charlene Michelman. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Karol was preceded in death by her parents and her cherished grandson, Cody Mock.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Dawson Street Baptist Church at 11 a.m., with Reverend Lee Waller officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Following the service, Karol will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens, where we will celebrate her life and the love she leaves behind.
