Karren Elizabeth (Egan) DelSanto, age 55, of Mechanicsburg, died on Thursday, December 21, 2023. Karren was born on Friday, December 20, 1968, in Hornell to Carole Ann (Harwood) Egan and the late Robert T. Egan. In addition to her father, Karren is preceded in death by her sister, Kelley Thatcher.
Karren’s survivors include her husband of 27 years, Paul F. DelSanto; her four children: Ashley Mader and her husband, Dan, of Mechanicsburg, Emily DelSanto of Mechanicsburg, Bradley DelSanto and his wife, Brooke, of Mechanicsburg, Andrew DelSanto of Mechanicsburg; her two grandchildren: Beau Mader and Jaxson Mader; her mother, Carole Egan of Harrisburg; her brother, Raymond Egan and wife, Laura, of Harrisburg; her brother-in-law, John Thatcher of Perkasie; and several nieces and nephews.
Karren graduated from Hornell High School as part of the class of 1987. She retired from Verizon after many years of service. Karren attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg. She was a member of the American Legion, Post 998 in Lawton. Karren liked to travel, and went to Whalehead in the Outer Banks every year. She was a Penn State football fan, attending the games with season tickets for many years. Karren enjoyed cooking, and she was especially fond of baking pies. She always made time for her family, and she will be dearly missed.
All are welcome to join Karren’s family at her Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, January 4, 2024 starting at 11:00 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 400 East Simpson Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Reverend Kenneth C. Roth officiating. Karren’s family invites everyone to join them for a celebration of life open house from 12:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Buhrig’s Gathering Place, 25 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
While Karren’s family will not be accepting flowers, they invite those wishing to celebrate Karren’s life with a memorial contribution to make them to Residential Home Health Care & Hospice, 100 Sterling Parkway 110, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050, https://www.residentialhealthcaregroup.com/services/hospice/give-back.
