Kassen Jamell, 84, of Atkins, Arkansas, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, November 13, 2025, with his wife by his side.
He was born November 27, 1940, in Ash Flat, Arkansas to Mazyed Jamell and Susie Hensley Jamell. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Shirley Jamell.
Kassen was a graduate of Atkins High School and Arkansas Tech University. He proudly served in the United States Army for four years, and was a member of Oakland Heights Assembly of God Church. Kassen was a faithful servant of God, leading his family in a Christian home. He loved the Lord and his family above all else.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Virginia Jamell; daughters, Suzie Jamell, Kassen Sears and husband Steve; grandchildren, Angel Bynum and husband Blake, Jace Jamell Sears; great grandchildren, Corbin Bynum, Kentlee Vantine and Baker Bynum; siblings, Helen Corn, Najim Jamell, David Jamell, as well as special friends, David Reddell, Bob Burnett and Charles Smith.
His graveside funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2025, in Oakland Cemetery in Atkins, under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral. Bro. Roy Chisum will officiate. There is no visitation planned.
