Katherine Anderson Obituary

Katherine A. Anderson, 68, Franklin, passed away on Thurs., Sept. 29, 2022. She was born on Jan. 30, 1954, to the late Leo and Sally (Kwasniewski) Ledzian in Milwaukee. Kathy was a member at St. Michael Episcopal Church where she made lifelong friendships with her Prayer Warriors. She enjoyed Scrabble on Friday nights, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, the Green Bay Packers and baking Christmas cookies. Her greatest joy was spending time as MeeMaw to her granddaughters. She was an eternal optimist who was kind, compassionate and thoughtful. Kathy took joy in her job as a Certified Medical Research Coordinator where she could pass along her helpful nature to others.
Kathy is survived by her daughter Sara (Geoff) Swosinski, granddaughters Reina and Gemma, brother John (Dorothy), nieces and nephews John, Michelle, Mary, Michael, Christopher, brother-in-law Alan (Mary) and cousin Tommy (Donna). She was preceded in death by her brother Paul.
Visitation will be held on Sat., Oct. 15, 2022, at St. Michael Episcopal Church (4701 Erie St., Racine) from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at 12:00 PM. Private burial will take place at St. Martin of Tours Cemetery, Franklin. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Kathy's name to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance.
Family would like to acknowledge the caring staff at Froedtert Hospital for their excellent care provided to Kathy.
