Wayne Franzen Obituary

Wayne Robert Franzen of Franklin, WI passed away October 11, 2025 at Tudor Oaks Health Center in Muskego, WI at the age 87.
Wayne was born June 15, 1938 in Milwaukee, WI to Arthur J Franzen and Wynona M (nee Lambert). He proudly served our country in the United States Navy. After his military service in the Navy he married Meta Schreindl of Franklin, WI and later divorced. 
Wayne had a fulfilling career as a sheet metal worker. He dedicated many years to his trade, taking immense pride in his work earning the respect of his colleagues and was known for his craftsmanship and reliability. Later Wayne married Joyce A Nemeth. They shared a beautiful life together filled with great love, family and travel. He cherished every moment spent with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. 
Wayne was a long time member of the Moose Lodge #1057 of Muskego, WI, where he served in many elected positions, demonstrating his commitment to community service and fellowship with his peers. Wayne had many passions and interests. He was a national horseshoe player, winning many state tournaments. When he wasn’t playing horseshoes he was bowling. He also enjoyed golfing, hunting & loved fishing on Lake Waubesa. You could always find Wayne outdoors. Every year he had a bountiful vegetable garden, and took pride in his beautiful rose gardens. When not outdoors you could find him watching sports, especially college sports. During the winter months Wayne would always have a puzzle going and he would bake his signature cookie at Christmas time. 
Wayne was preceded in death by his loving wife and best friend Joyce, his parents Arthur J Franzen and Wynona M (nee Lambert), and his brothers Doug and Mike Franzen. He leaves behind his sister Diane Choi of California, his daughter Wendy (Mark) Long of Adams, WI, Dawn (Mike) Marsden of North Carolina, Debbie (Erik) Oldenberg of Burlington, WI, and Scott (Christine) Tashoff of Muskego, WI. Grandchildren Brandon (Angela) Hurst of Menasha WI, Samantha Hurst of Mayville WI, Erika (Mark) Noble of Waterford WI, Justine (Eric) Drohner of Burlington WI, Samantha Marsden of North Carolina, Alyssa (Salvador) of North Carolina. Great Grandchildren Axle Hurst, Richie Sprouse, Archer Hurst, Keyana Bell, Salvador Moreno, Marcus Moreno, Mila Noble, Luka Noble, Mauve Drohner and many cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Wayne will be missed dearly by all who knew him. His legacy of hard work, love of family and community service will continue to inspire those left behind. Wonderful memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew Wayne. 
Visitation at Max A. Sass Funeral Home, Mission hills Chapel, on Thursday, October 30th 12PM to 2 PM. Funeral Service at 2 PM.
