Katherine Elizabeth Arendse

Katherine "Kathy" Elizabeth Arendse was born on March 19, 1946 in Cape Town, South Africa to the late Dora (Jacobs) Braynard and Attie Braynard. She joined her Lord and Saviour on April 14, 2023 in Grapevine, Texas at the age of 77 years old.
Kathy loved her family dearly and was a homemaker and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a talented cook and loved to knit gifts for her family. She loved the Lord and was committed to reading the Bible and singing hymns.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Lorimer Arendse and her brother, Paul.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 52 years, Leon S. Arendse of Hurst, Texas; son, Alwin Arendse and wife, Mellissa of Colleyville, Texas; daughter, Leoni Michael and husband Jeff of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter, Candice Hannah and husband, Brandon of Columbus, Ohio; son, Alistaire Arendse and wife, Sarah of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter-in-love, Jeanelle Pickett; grandchildren: Jordyn, Ian, Megan, Gavin, Hope and husband, Alex, Sarah and husband, Christopher, David, Kathryn, McKenzie, Ethan, Madison, Alayna, Noah, Wyatt, Riley, Mercy, Atlas, Leonyx; great-grandchildren, Lorimer, Eden, and Forrest; and siblings, Attie and Betty.
The family will receive family and friends at 12:00 Noon on Friday, April 21, 2023 followed by the funeral service at 12:30 P.M. at Center Point Church located at 7804 Mid Cities Blvd, North Richland Hills, Texas 76180. Interment will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville.
