Katherine A. Baseley

Katherine Ann Baseley, age 81, of McHenry, IL, passed away on March 3, 2026. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 29, 1944. The daughter of Robert J. and Marie (Snick) Meyer.

Kathy moved from Chicago, IL to McHenry in 1954. Kathy married her beloved husband, Gary Baseley, on July 7, 1962, in Johnsburg, IL. They settled in McHenry and resided there for 64 years. Kathy was a housewife. Her family was everything. She cherished the time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid golfer for several years. Kathy was loved by many and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband: Gary; her son: Robert (Sharon) Baseley of Denison, TX; her grandchildren: Riley Zorc of Antioch, IL, Brody Felix of McHenry, IL, Benjamin Baseley of Hebron, IL and Colin Felix of McHenry, IL; her great-grandchild: Travis Robert Baseley; her sister: Virginia (Gini) Spuehr of Johnston, IA; her brothers: Robert Meyer of Johnsburg, IL and John Meyer of McHenry, IL; her sister-in-law: Claudia (Toddi) and Mike Conway of McHenry, IL; and many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter: Kristine Felix; her sisters-in-law: Patricia Wimmer and Lynne Donarski; her brother-in-law: Thomas Baseley; and her in-laws: Claude and Mary Baseley.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Colonial Funeral Home in McHenry, IL from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
